The museum’s Christmas market, held since 1903 according to Skansen. In 2026 it is four weekends, 27 November to 20 December, not a daily market. Entry is museum admission.

The season

Fridays and Saturdays mostly 10:00–17:00 and Sundays 10:00–16:00, on 27–29 November, 4–6 December, 11–13 December and 18–20 December 2026. Skansen’s table lists 29 November, 6, 13 and 20 December as the 16:00 Sundays.

Not open Monday to Thursday. Not a daily market through the end date.

What to notice

• Skansen dates the tradition to 1903 and describes handicrafts, candles, waffles, mulled wine and roasted almonds.
• It is a weekend museum visit, not a city-centre stroll you can do on a Wednesday night.

Tram or bus to Djurgården, or the ferry in season. Skansen’s own page lists Djurgårdsslätten 49-51.

Saturday 5 December, the middle weekend, arriving at opening.
