The large market in front of the city hall. Both the organiser and the City of Vienna publish 13 November to 26 December 2026.

The City of Vienna’s market office lists the same dates and hours for the Rathausplatz. The ice rink beside it is a separate event: the city lists it from 13 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, closed on 31 December.

The season

Daily 10:00–22:00. On 24 December, 10:00–18:30.

What to notice

• It is one of the earlier openings in this guide, and it stays up the day after Christmas.
• Do not confuse the market’s end (26 December) with the ice rink, which the city runs longer.
